With international tax principles in flux and government budgets under pressure, there is an urgent need to improve the design of tax policies.
Against this backdrop, the Oxford Business Tax Dialogue aims to strengthen intellectual exchanges on tax policy between academia, business and government.
It is organised by the Oxford Centre for Business Taxation and includes a number of activities for participating businesses:
• Meetings for tax policy leaders: We organise exclusive meetings in Oxford for tax policy leaders from business. The meetings involve presentations by top academics and high-level policymakers, round-table discussions and informal interaction.
• Training sessions for future tax leaders: We provide high-quality training on tax policy analysis for future tax leaders. The training offers qualitative and quantitative perspectives on tax policy from economics, law and finance.
• Open channels of communication: We have open channels of communication for businesses to discuss the specific tax policy challenges they are facing with senior academics at the Oxford Centre for Business Taxation.
With the aim of broadening the Dialogue as much as possible, the Oxford Business Tax Dialogue also includes events that are open to all businesses as well as the general public, including the Summer Conference, which takes place in Oxford every year in late June.
Please contact us at CBT@sbs.ox.ac.uk if your business is interested in joining the Dialogue.
