Ander Iraizoz is a Research Fellow in Economics at the Centre for Business Taxation. Ander’s research focuses on empirical public economics and he studies the effects of pension policies and taxation. Ander is also a Lillian Goldman Junior Research Fellow at Regent’s Park College.
Ander completed his PhD in Economics at the Paris School of Economics in 2023. Prior to his PhD, he completed a Master’s in Quantitative Economics at the Paris School of Economics and a MPhil in Economic Research at the University of Cambridge.
Ander has also worked as an economist at the Institut des politiques publiques (IPP) and at the Scottish Fiscal Commission (SFC).
Research
Ander is conducting research on:
• Perception of the returns offered by contributions to public pension systems.
• Effects of cross-border differences in taxation.
• Behavioural responses to income taxation.
• Equity in public pension systems.
Teaching
Ander teaches tutorials in Microeconomics at Regent’s Park College. Prior to joining the Centre, Ander taught tutorials in Econometrics and in Mathematical Economics to graduate students at the Paris School of Economics.
